Before joining the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) as a PhD student in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Sarang worked as a Process Engineer in the Petroleum Sector, gaining extensive experience in budgeting, managing, and executing business plans. His current research focuses on synthesizing and characterizing Supported Ionic Liquid Membranes for CO2 absorption using an AI-aided approach and synthesizing 2D porous materials like COFs/MOFs for carbon capture. His technical expertise and seven years of industry experience make him well-suited for the treasurer position at the Electrochemical Society-UNL.
